Noise_LeoB_winners3.jpegAfter a nail-biting final battle at Noise International HQ in Glebe Leo Burnett emerged triumphant and was crowned ‘Advertising’s Ping-Pong Champions’ at the inaugural Ping-Pong by Noise tournament.

Leo Burnett’s team won the coveted trophy, and a hefty $1,500 to share between the team – with the agency also scoring a free music and sound design campaign with Noise International.

Says Leo Burnett executive creative director Andy DiLallo: “Seeing as ping pong is the true measure of a creative agency, I am in the process of lobbying campaign brief to include this in their rankings. Surely it’s worth a few hundred points.”

US Sydney were the runners up winning $600, with Reborn placing third and winning $300.

“I was amazed at the standard of ping pong but in the end Leo Burnett proved beyond doubt that they are the worthy winners,” said Dan Higson, executive producer of Noise International. “Everyone had a great time. It’s been such a huge success that we will be running it again next year – so get practicing!”

“Leo Burnett were determined to win and it was their sheer persistence that won through in the end. When Gary won that last point the elation from the rest of the team showed just how badly they had wanted the win. It was a fantastic night of ping-pong,” said Australian table tennis star and owner of Table Tennis World Paul Pinkewich – one of the judges and co-sponsors of the competition.

With sensational food once again provided by Aria Catering and beer from Tooheys Extra Dry the post-pong after party was lengthy!
