Leo Burnett Melbourne presents some obstacles at the races with new Sportsbet campaign

It’s a universal truth that putting your bets on in person isn’t alwaysa pleasant experience. Especially at the races, when you have to fightyour way through crowds of drunk cougars to get anywhere near a bookie. That’s why Leo Burnett Melbourne is reminding people that theycan avoid the queues and punt before the race at Sportsbet.com.au.
This latest ad ‘For people who like to bet on the net’ is the second in a series that explores the many, many reasons why betting at Sportsbet.com.au beats betting anywhere else.

awful
Like it!
not a bad spot. funny
Silly, funny, good.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRR
Category Ad for online betting. Most people will watch the ad and then go to TAB sportsbet. Must be some pretty junior people writing the briefs for this nonsense.
Not really very good at all.
Another disappointing effort from the boys at Leos.
You gotta love the disgruntled ex-creative blog!
Love all the other stuff for this client, but this one falls short (except for the cougars gag).
The hommus made me laugh..
nice use of a midget (err underscore jockey) in a spot!
Much better than stuff going around for the other online betting companies.
Thats actually very funny…..the cougar dip sequence is a killer….well done for going there first – cutting edge…..
I’m pretty sure I took one of those cougars home after the Cox Plate last year.
I like this campaign. Gives you legitimate reasons to bet on line rather than throwing buckets of cash in the air. TAB one’s the strongest.
I now like Sportsbet.com.au
Job done.
funny simple
I love this.
It’s very, very funny.
Funny. Much like the haters on this blog who reckon they could do better.
I’ve always liked this campaign; the TAB freaks one was fucking funny, and generally speaking there’s always a laugh to be had at least somewhere in these ads.
Given how many allegedly ‘funny’ ads don’t even so much as raise a smile, I reckon this is a pretty good effort. Comedy is very very very hard to do in 30 seconds, and I’d put good money on these being liked very much by normal Australian men who have a bet.
Maybe not so much with nancy hipster adwankers though.
Love the ‘stain’.
Love the ‘Cougars!’
LOVE the cougars AND stain!!!
hideous crap, obvious old jokes. Sexist, ladist everything.
