Leading 3D talent appointed by FSM
Sydney post production company FSM has hired leading 3D talent, Andreas Wanda, as VFX_3D Supervisor. He will join FSM with over ten years experience in 3D from on-set to leading 3D teams for major TV commercials. Most recently Wanda spent two years at Animal Logic where he managed several high profile projects including feature film The Knowing.
Says FSM managing director, Rick Schweikert: “We’re delighted Andreas has joined FSM as supervisor of our VFX and 3D team. His senior 3D and VFX skills will be important as we continue to expand this area of FSM and ensure we remain at the cutting edge of this industry.”
Says Wanda: “I’ve worked in some of the best VFX houses in town, fromFuel to Animal Logic. Working on features in recent times you become asmall fish in a big pond. I like the challenge FSM offers, being abigger fish, and concentrating on shorter length productions that arejust as challenging and creative. I am looking forward to theopportunity to grow the FSM_VFX department along with Scotty Wilcox,who heads up the 3D team.”
The TV commercials Wanda worked on have won several awards including a Gold Pencil
at the AWARD Awards, for Visual Effects on the Sony Kiss ad; and a Gold World Medal for
3D Animation on the Heineken Past Experience ad at the New York Festival’s International
Advertising Awards.

Yes, SHE will join, that Andreas or is that Wanda.
Who’s joining?
I would like to welcome Andreas to FSM’s VFX department.
Although the article implies that Andreas is a ‘she’, I can tell you for certain that she is in fact a he, unless Andreas has managed to create the ultimate illusion of all time and lie throughout the entire interview process.
It’s small typo’s like this that can stick with someone for a long time.
Andreas will now be known as Andrea.

Yes it’s very exciting indeed. The facility has everything under one roof which is what really appealed to me.
