Lavender* wins IKEA FAMILY
Sydney independent agency Lavender* has been appointed to launch IKEA Australia’s loyalty program, IKEA FAMILY.
Lavender* ECD Luke Chess (left), who joined from Saatchi’s NZ in January, says it’s a perfect opportunity for the growing agency. “It’s a fascinating mix. An advertising brand launch, some serious digital construction–across the internet, point of sale and other platforms– social marketing, CRM and a healthy dollop of identity design. That’s precisely the kind of gnarly brief we enjoy getting our teeth into. And it’s all for a brand, and a client, that we feel passionate about. We’re stoked to have been appointed.”
IKEAFAMILY Manager, Mark Channing said: “Lavender created an idea that willsee our programme through from member accrual to assessment in acreative and highly engaging way. We’re proud to announce we’ll belaunching IKEA FAMILY in August this year.”

Well done Chessticle and co. Giving up weekends and changing stealos at the last minute was worth it. You’ve hit the ground running!
Beeepppp.
Gnarly and stoked in one paragraph. That’s totally radical!
* There’s that beware caveat thingy again.
And did he really say “across the internet”? Shoot me now. In the head. Twice.
2.46, sounds good to me. Where are you at? I’ll bring the blindfold.
This was a nothing story until Lynchy revised it to include a picture of the Chesticle.
Welcome back Luke.
Oh yeah. Rad. Totally rippin dude. So mental n phat. It’ll so be a blast.
2:46 & 6:47 Comic genius. I love it!
Sweet win and it’s sweeter that it happened to the nicest guy in the industry.
Bullshit.
I’M the nicest guy in the industry.
When grads send their books in, I send them back with cute little ‘nice work!’ stickers on every third page.
On shoots, I always wait until the crew has had seconds before feeding myself.
When I found out that foamcore was made out of the stomach-lining of dolphins, I stopped using it.
When a pro-bono brief crosses my desk, my first thought ISN’T “hmmm… do amputee cambodian kids still win at Cannes, or should I wait until something more awardable comes in?”
I don’t think everyone who disagrees with me is a cunt.
I don’t make my producer book sessions at noon, just to save me eight bucks fifty on lunch.
And finally, when I discover that the junior team’s awesome concept ( the one they’ve just spent three solid days on) was already done in Amsterdam/Santiago/Mexico City… I don’t take sadistic pleasure in breaking the news to them.
2.15, I think we should have a Nicest Guy In the Industry award, or at least a Hot / Cold Chart like CB’s annual chart.
I like the idea. I wonder who will be the Nastiest and Nicest. Thoughts?
Anonomys
Kind of enjoying working with the ‘nicest guy in the industry’, if only I could keep him out of the concourse.
not sure how nice you are, 3.47, but you’re pretty fucking funny.
Chessticle?
Really is a creative industry, Bro.
At the golf club I either get Chessy or Tickets!
Great news…. Now palm it off to the juniors and buy yourself a yacht.
Go Dockers.
