Junior creatives: Creative RAW 2010 is coming
The Age and the MADC are offering one junior team the opportunity to have their work run in the country’s premier broadsheet with the launch of the Creative RAW 2010 competition.
The competition challenges the teams to work on a live brief and have their work judged by some of the top creatives in Melbourne, chaired by Clemenger BBDO deputy creative director Julian Schreiber.
The MADC is calling on creative directors to put forward their junior teams for Creative RAW 2010 – it’s free to enter but there are limited places and it’s first in, best dressed.
Creative RAW began five years ago and, as well as fostering young talent, is designed to get creatives thinking differently about how they use newspaper as a medium.
David Hoath, sales and marketing director for The Age says that Creative RAW offers junior teams an invaluable experience: “They get exposure to a live brief, one-to-one interaction with a senior client, the opportunity to showcase their work to some of the creative leaders in Melbourne – and the chance to get their work published in The Age,” he said.
Richard Ralphsmith, MADC President, urged creative directors not to miss this opportunity: “If you’ve got a team with three years’ experience or less, you simply have to get them down to Creative RAW. It could be the first award of their careers – a great credit to them and a great reflection on you and your agency.”
Both the client and the brief are kept a well-guarded secret until the day, with competing teams only receiving a teaser the day before the competition. Previous clients have included Mountain Goat Brewery and Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
Junior teams must register by Monday, 25th October by emailing the MADC at info@madc.com.au
