Julian Cole’s Top 50 Australian Marketing Pioneer Blogs list released for 2010 – CB Blog ranked #5
Julian Cole, digital strategist for Sydney-based The Conscience Organisation, has just published his annual ranking of the Top 50 Australian Marketing Pioneer Blogs and nice to see Campaign Brief has jumped 50 places to be the 5th highest ranked in Australia.
Of sites devoted to Australian advertising news, Campaign Brief is ranked #2 behind Mumbrella at #1 and ahead of B&T at #8 and AdNews at #30. In terms of sites covering Australian creative news, CB is clearly #1, while rival Australian Creative failed to make the Top 50 cut.

Of these, only Campaign Brief and Mumbrella are audited by the Internet Advertising Bureau Australia.
Says Cole: “There was an average of 40% less posts from the personal bloggers within the Top 50 in 2010 [this was taken from a small sample of people who had the number of posts a year available, however this trend seems to be happening over the board].
“I put this down to the news sites such as your site, B&T and Mumbrella playing a bigger role in breaking campaigns. I would suggest that Twitter has also played a role with removing short form posts.”
