Communications Council launches 2012 Graduate Trainee Program online campaign via Host/The Jamboree: can advertising’s finest help Johann?
The Communications Council, through agency Host/The Jamboree, has garnered the support of the advertising community to help remarket university student Johann.
Johann is a young, good-looking, smart and friendly man, has, despite his positive attributes, struggled with the ladies.
As part of the 2012 launch of The Graduate Trainee Program, a number of planning heads, agency chiefs, and top creatives are working on improving the Johann brand. They will be sharing the different aspects involved in a successful rebrand via a series of online videos throughout the campaign, directed by Damien Cassar.

Key info on the Graduate Trainee Program:
In its 30th year, the Program is now open to university graduates of all academic backgrounds.
Offering places in leading Melbourne and Sydney agencies, this year’s candidates will be stringently selected with approximately 50 spots available.
Key dates for the program are: call for entries close on October 7, with information nights held in Melbourne on September 1, and Sydney on September 8. The final selection of graduates will take place in Sydney on October 27 and Melbourne on November 8.
The five day summer AdSchool course is set for January 30, 2011 to February 3, 2011 in Sydney, and from 6-10 February in Melbourne, with the program at participating agencies commencing February 7.

So new. So fresh. So now!
Er… Ian’s getting ready anyone?
That look’s been done by John Oates

it’s exactly the same as Ian’s getting ready.
Surely someone on the committee must have realized?
Nice one, I like it.
this is actually pretty funny
Anthony is Chairman of the Communications Council.
Last month he publicly criticises the work of DDB, one of the Council’s members.
This month he does the campaign for the Council.
Ian’s getting ready was funnier.
I doubt Johann will get his balls waxed by a large black lady on camera?
At least Ian was never going to look like a GIllette model. The attempt to make him look good was always going to be at least worth watching.
This guy is clearly good-looking under his dumb moustache and bad hair cut.
A five dollar hair cut, shave and a new shirt and this guy is got more chance with the ladies than most of us.
Hardly much of a ‘communications’ challenge.
you’ve missed a key difference with Ian – they’re not allowed to change this guy one bit. it’s purely a communications challenge, which makes it make sense given the brief.
the ian thing was all about changing him from a podgy english dude into a slightly less podgy english dude (with no pubic hair).
