Johannes Leonardo New York runner-up at AdAge Small Agency of the Year Awards; Mistress L.A. wins in 1-10 employees category
Johannes Leonardo, New York, the agency co-founded by Aussie expat creative Leo Premutico (left) in November 2007, has been named runner-up at the Ad Age Small Agency of the Year Awards in Denver.
And Mistress, Los Angeles, the boutique agency started by Aussie expat creatives Damien Eley and Scott Harris (below left), was awarded AdAge Small Agency of the Year in the 1-10 employees category, after only 18 months in business.
Eley told CB: “It’s been a crazy year, Lynchy. We’ve doubled in size since entering these awards and have been so busy the past six months working on Papaya King (New York Hot Dogs), Red Bull, 2K Sports (video games) and Hot Wheels (global Hot Wheels For Real campaign) that we haven’t even looked up. Johannes Leonardo got runner up in the main category too. Well done to Leo.”

Mistress is the most wanted chick in town, laying all the big boys.
JL on fire too.
Hats off to ’em both.
Go Damo and Harry!
It’s a long way from that hostel in Harlem to Venice Beach. And what a trip!
Well done, boys.
