Japan Airlines, in association with the Japan National Tourism Organisation, has launched a campaign which hopes to kick tourism from Australia following the earthquake and tsunami back in March.
Created by Sydney-based boutique agency doq (which also has offices in Tokyo, Chicago and San Francisco), the campaign involves print and online.

Great idea, beautifully crafted. VERY JEALOUS!
性交は何?
Credit where credit’s due. This work is exceptional. An empty bowl of meticulous hospitality has me reaching for the credit card.
A work of art… this should go down well at award time.
If you look at it quickly from the corner of your eye, it looks like it says ‘malicious hospitality.’
Which is even more awesome, because, what does that mean?
I’m afraid that’s not going to tempt me into going anywhere. What’s the idea again?
And beautifully crafted? Not even if you exclude the type, which clearly no human eye looked or adjusted after it was spat out onto a Mac screen.
Utter sheit, seriously how badly art directed is this…
Doq.
This boutique agency is going places. Maybe all the way back to Japan.
Can’t wait to see the rest of the campaign.
Keep it up guys.
Anyone care to explain? This one has gone right over my head.
That’s why I love Japanese creatives. They are so subtle, beautifully crafted and understated. This must be a part of new JAL logo campaign.
“hopes to kick tourism from Australia”.
Yup, that’ll do it.
i dont get it…
The little bowl on the plate makes the same shape as the JAL logo. Well I’m off to buy my ticket now. Seriously give me a cheap fare and some bloody leg room, it’s only nine hours.
