Industry lends creative muscle to support one of its own with campaign to raise awareness of Friedreich’s Ataxia disease via Host Sydney

LUSM_Final Billy Tatts_LR.jpgThe creative industry has lent their creative muscle to Kaija Wall, the broadcast production director at Host Sydney. Wall’s son, Jai, has been diagnosed with Friedreich’s Ataxia, a rare genetic disease that progressively damages the nervous system resulting in muscle weakness, diabetes and heart disease.

Sadly there is no cure, so to raise awareness and more importantly to raise money to help fund research, Host and a few pals have created a campaign called Lend Us Some Muscle.

They’re asking people to show their support on Facebook and spread the word by striking a bodybuilder pose and lend some financial muscle with a donation.

The campaign is gaining momentum with images flooding in from Australia, New York and the UK and over $11,800.00 has been raised to-date. They’ve also created a short video to help spread the word.

On behalf of Kaija, Jai and family a big thanks to everybody involved.
