IdeaWorks relaunches OZ Design
Leading furniture and homewares retailer Oz Design Furniture has launched its first major television campaign in more than 8 years following an extensive re-branding.
The brand refresh and creative, by retail specialists IdeaWorks, Sydney has been designed to position Oz Design as the ‘Home of Options’ in the $6 billion home furnishings market.
The campaign launches as consumer confidence increases and homebuyers and renovators re-enter the market.
“The GFC had a considerable impact on the homewares and furniture market with most of the leading retailers having to discount stocks and consumers deferring non-urgent purchases,” says IdeaWorks CEO Jon Bird. “Oz Design maintained a media presence throughout the downturn, but over the last 12 months, we have worked with the Oz team to refresh their entire brand in anticipation of the market picking up.”
The campaign is scheduled to run across TV, Magazines, POS and online, and is also reflected in graphics at store level.

Nice, simple, cute. Well done.
thank christ cannes have extended their deadline.
I think these are really smart little spots. The rebranding is good too. Let’s see if they become a real threat to Freedom though shall we!
Simple? Yes.
Cute? Cute-ish.
But pretty much every chain furniture store does give you those options.
You could do the same ad for Ikea or for Freedom and it would be equally true (most likely more so).
Consumers know this.
I can’t see how this helps Oz Design.
I thank Christ you’re a wanker!
Nice work, but why-oh-why would the agency choose this junkyard to promote it? You Aussies are nasty! This is a sweet little commercial, I like it. But what would I know huh!
I really don’t think anyone has the intention of entering these into Cannes. But I like coffee, and I reckon you’d look good in heels. So how about you put those stillettos on and whip up a skinny flat white for me. Good boy! Now be nice!
I ♥ PK.
Omg, Pretty please tell me how to do the heart ! LOL

Very clean.
Nice work, could of been longer I reckon.
Frame Set magic!
I think I’d rather continue doing shitty ads than do a good one and have it bagged out by little pussies on this site.
It must take a lot of self control by the creators of spots that get up on this blog not to log on and explain to whinging children that if the client likes it you’ve done your job and there is money left for you to keep doing your job.
You wankers seem to constantly forget that it’s money that drives everything in the world not your ‘brilliant’ minds.
I ♥ ♥
The sound track is like one of those old ‘Baker’s Delight’ ads and they used a little sign or chalk board too. Deja vu…
Charming. And I bet they sell shitloads of furniture. (Remember people: that’s what you’re paid to do…)
9:56. They use chalk boards in cafés. And you’ve been to a few, I would imagine. Maybe that’s the source of your deja vu? Great little spots though. I want to slag, but I like ’em. I’ll bag that persil rubbish instead.
10.33 reckons it will sell a shit load of furniture.
News for you, if you knew the category, you would know that the furniture business since the GFC is stuffed. Take more than a nice commercial to crank it up.
Actually the music is like a coffee ad on one and SATC on the other. It’ll get noticed. Won’t set the world on fire, but it’ll get noticed.
HOLY FUCKING HELL 12:47 !!!
DON’T BE SUCH A SCREAMING DOUCHEBAG!!! YOU’RE THE KIND OF WANKER WHO ONLY COMES IN HERE TO FUCKING RANT AT PEOPLE IN ALL CAPS!!! YOU PROBABLY DON’T EVEN HAVE A GENUINE OPINION YOU JUST WANT TO YELL YOUR TINY BOLLOCKS AT EVERYONE LIKE AN IMPOTENT COCK!!! WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU DID ANYTHING GOOD??!!! HUH?! YEAH, THAT’S RIGHT!!!
Mediocrity killed the cat
Nice work and a very different feel for a furniture chain.
I wouldn’t call it amazing, but it is a very solid campaign to kick off what really is an impressive brand over-haul.
Congratulations to all involved.
12.45!
I think it’s time to take your meds. What are you going on about dude?
My wife absolutely loves these ads. Well done boys.
Roger
Solid. I like it.

RE 9.45 RE 12.47PM.
ALL CAPS RANT. WHAT THE?
These spots would have cost about 5k to make.
Well done. I’m sure you passed on the savings to the client.
