Hyundai launches campaign promoting its re-entrance into World Rally Car Series with the i20 via FG Entertainment’s Scott Weintrob
Hyundai has launched a new campaign promoting its re-entrance into the World Rally Car Series with the Hyundai i20 shot by Scott Weintrob, represented by Filmgraphics Entertainment in Australia.
The campaign, which launched last month at the Paris Auto Show, highlights Hyundai’s World Rally Car based on the re-design and popular i20 car.
Inspired by two feature films ‘Night Rider and ‘Jumpers’ – the spot begins with the all-new Hyundai i20 lakeside. The car disappears and reappears as it transforms into the company’s new World Rally Car. The car then shoots off at high speeds through treacherous yet sweeping landscapes, continuing to disappear and re-appear as it races through some of the most beautiful scenery in South Korea.
The campaign relied heavily on Weintrob’s expertise on cars; being one of the most groundbreaking directors for BBC’s worldwide hit “Top Gear”. Additionally, Weintrob recently wrapped a pilot for AMC for Michael Bay entitled “American Muscle” and is the executive producer/creator for the new hit MTV2 series “The Dub Magazine Project” focused on cars and car culture.

Sorry, but if your going to rip off styles from youtube or the movies…
You have to do it better, especially if your getting paid to do it.
Nice try though.
I’m a big rally fan and think its great that Hyundai has entered the WRC again, but thats a boring bit of film making. Lets face it the WRC promos are so much better than this. Sorry guys and girls.
