No credits. Wise move. Terrible ad.
What is this, who can be first to post a nasty comment? You might have a pride of gold lions under your belt but if you’re a horrible person who lives to bring everything down it all counts for nothing. And yeah, I liked the ad. And no, it’s not mine. Just sick of the haters.
So pretentious it hurts.
Hey Alan,
I’m the creative on this ad at Innocean. Writer / AD. The reason no credits are on this ad is because before we were able to send our pack with all those details on, Campaign Brief uploaded the YouTube link without us knowing. Rest assured, the credits will be sent soon and that will be corrected.
We’re quite proud of this ad by the way, as well as the web videos that Campaign Brief probably weren’t aware of and didn’t link to. If you don’t like it, that’s totally cool.
Mike
Are they trying to tell me that the i40 is good for circle work?
Bloody impressive. Nice job.
Who shot it?
Is it possible there’s a hateful virus that gets transmitted when you click on the VIEW THE SPOT link? Jesus, first cab off the rank on this thread has to be a putdown. This is getting boring guys. Hey, why not try the George Costanza Effect just once: whatever you think of first, do the opposite – it might work better for you.
This is a simple ad about precision. Its heritage is in the Australian Hyundai launch campaign in the 90s by Paul Jones at DDB, who shot an ad with five cars coming off a car-mover truck. The cars came down ramps and hit the tarmac in reverse and then went on to do a bunch of formation tricks. Nice. Simple. Everyone smiled.
So for the record: I like it. Nice. Simple. Everyone smiles.
Great ad Mike. I love it. Good to see something a bit different for the car market. Advertising and Art can mix!
I like it,
But it still seems a bit pointless.
No where near as good as the better VW and Merc ads which have the same sense of style but actually have a meaningful message.
Still- better than most.
Hyundai seem to be the only car maker who lets the creatives come up with interesting and innovative ideas to showcase their brand. This is a beautifully crafted spot. Simple and elegantly executed.
It’s a pity that the only time people on this blog respond positively, is to wish someone happy birthday or to congratulate them for leaving the country.
Campaign Brief will become irrelevant if this is the only thing we celebrate.
Nicely shot, decent concept, but similar to most Australian art house films, it doesn’t actually make a blatant point at any stage.
Hey but nicely shot, art directed and I love the sound track.
Just making a more compelling point could have made it great.
It’s a good spot considering, but not that great. Must be tough over there.
??? Said,
And the heritage of Paul Jones’ Hyundai ad was the classic UK ‘Hand built by robots’ spot for Fiat.
Quite different for a car ad. Subtle but with personality. Nice.
Oh; and the Fiat ad was based on the mini scene from The Italian Job.

99% of viewers will watch the TV ad and see a car going round in circles in the sand.
Boring. Jim who? Artist? Never heard of him.
Having watched the web films it is a lot more interesting and the idea gets explained but 99% of people will never see them.
Yep same idea minus the end pun
10:44am Sorry: Correct – BMW Z4 spot, outdoor version.
the spot was shot by daniel ardilley acs he’s done a great job, nice and simple
Yep, the BMW Z4 was breathtakingly original. And, well this…
Yeah yeah, blah blah, car ad.
@ Tony
you’re speaking rubbish – explain Toyota ‘Glass Organs’.
And I have a feeling these guys used the same director in an attempt to get the same result……….but failed.
I think this is a great ad.
great sound track and shows of the car well.
Someone linked to that BMW Z4 ad. Awful music, shot poorly.
And no, i did not make this ad, I work in TV
MD stop pulling your cock. slagging Z4 clearly shows you either a) worked on this or b) have no idea what the fuck you’re talking about.
