Have all VW drivers got something in common?

In this 60 second spot, via DDB New Zealand, we observe how all Volkswagen drivers have something in common (besides having good taste in cars, of course).

I really like this ad. Nice work DDB.
I wonder what that would have looked like if Middleditch shot it?
really no reason for this to be 60 seconds
cool, but horrendous music.. bad choice
Yeah, music was OK for about 10 seconds…
Very elegant and effective visually. Caught my eye in the ad break and conveyed it’s message beautifully in an enjoyable way – as in I caught on swiftly but enjoyed watching it develop through to the end.
Unfortunately, for me, the tag line lets it down a little. ‘we’re all the same – but different’ is very redundant. They”ve made the point so effectively and then seemed to lose faith in themselves. We got it, there’s no need to spell it out.
Just cut to ‘Das Auto’ and we’re sharing a smile with you, VW. As it is you seem to think we’re a little slow.
Is it just me or does appear than none of them are wearing seat belts. eople protong
Lovely premise.
Beautifully directed.
A rare grown-ups ad.
stunning. there must be something in the water. the quality of creative coming out of nzd at the moment is just breath taking. lotto, purina, tower, nat bank, v pomparkour, db export, airnz rico (try getting that past the stuffed shirts at qantas) what’s coming out of oz berli, warick capper , rolf harris/wild oats??your kidding me and seek well muddleditch fucked that for you…
a rip-off of the vastly superior VW “bubble boy” ad from like 10 years ago

Both those spots are for VW. Both use quick cuts. True. But neither make the same point or use a range of five VW cars to make that point (no easy feat either – when was the last time you saw a good range ad for a car?) This is a different idea completely. The fact that you don’t understand that, 12:50, suggests to me that you need to go back to school. DDB NZ are streets ahead right now. Hats off to them. I’m more than a little jealous.
