habitat 2.pngNon profit organisation Habitat For Humanity Australia has appointed digital agency Reborn, Sydney to create and execute the digital campaign for its “Thousand Homes For Hope” appeal, set to launch in August.

Habitat for Humanity provides shelter to over 2 Million people and has built more than 400,000 homes around the world since its inception in 1976. The Thousand Homes For Hope appeal aims to raise funds to build one thousand homes for one thousand of the poorest families in Australia and the Asia-Pacific Region.

“After a competitive pitch, the decision to work with Reborn on this campaign was an easy one as their response was by far the most creative, results-focused and innovative,” said Laura Carniato, marketing and fundraising manager for Habitat For Humanity Australia.

“It was obvious from our very first conversation that the whole team was genuinely passionate about working with us and helping us to achieve our vision to build one thousand homes for families in desperate need.  It is refreshing to work with an agency that is as committed to our cause as we are,” she said.

Reborn co-founder Sabir Samtani originally contacted Habitat For Humanity Australia to enquire about his staff volunteering to help build a home, leading to an unexpected discussion about the upcoming digital campaign.

“We had identified Habitat For Humanity as a charity that meant a lot to us as a team and while were planning to contribute using hammers and nails, it turns out what was really needed was our digital skills!” said Samtani.  “This is Reborn’s first non-profit client and we are extremely excited to be able to help Habitat For Humanity to make a difference in people’s lives through this appeal.”

The result of a re-brand of sister agencies Lighthouse Interactive and The V Project in early 2011, Reborn celebrates the Habitat For Humanity win along with a number 66 ranking on BRW’s 2011 list of the top 100 fastest growing start-ups in Australia.  Other recent client wins for the agency include French Tourism, Mirvac and the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).
