Frost* parts ways with Tourism NT
After a five year tenure, Frost* is parting ways with Tourism NT. The split follows a review by Tourism NT of its overall marketing strategy and a decision to shift in a new direction, with plans to invest heavily in broadcast and digital.
“As a design driven business, Tourism NT’s change in business strategy means that there are probably other agencies with a more appropriate skill set for the account,” said Vince Frost (left), creative director and chairman of Frost*. “Having your client’s best interests at heart is as much about knowing when the time is right to let them go”.
Frost* held the Tourism NT account since 2005, successfully securing a second contract period during that time and the agency is extremely proud of their strategic and creative outputs.
“We’re very happy with the iconic work we created for the NT team, which will undoubtedly provide their future agencies with a very solid platform to build upon. We feel very positive about the opportunities they gave us and wish Tourism NT every success in the future.”

Shouldn’t it read Tourism NT parts ways with Frost?
i’ve never heard of frost but as someone who works on another state tourism piece of business, Tourism NT work was always highly regarded. they did a good job.
never heard of them, don’t really care
Holy fuck! That’s huge!
He looks devastated.
another design shop trying to pretend they can do adver‘NT”ising
never heard of frost? what type of cocoon are you people living in? you’d probably have no idea if paul rand or peter saville were living down the road from you.
seriously, you’re taking the piss, right? you work in a ‘creative’ business and you have no idea who he is? try google you idiot.
don’t know them either poindexter.
Me too. Never heard of these guys, which means they need to up their profile somewhat. That’s what this blog is all about.
NT work was absolute drivel.
4.50, you are clearly a fucking newbie-moron or an old fart who gave up learning decades ago. fuck off.for good.
This is what’s wrong with the advertising industry. It’s a sheltered, cocooned environment where people get promoted from Copywriter to Creative to Executive Creative to ECD for purely business and structural reasons, rather than true talent.
I’m not saying Frost are the world’s best design agency, but what they are doing is creatively strong and highly relevant, particularly as they’re based in Australia.
Proudly announcing that you’ve never heard of one of Australia’s more respected design hubs is embarrassing; for you, your clients, and the industry as a whole.
it appears that Mr Frost* himself is being quite active here in these postings….
I agree with you 10.14 MInd you, but with so many Mac Ops masquerading as Art Directors, it’s no wonder they’ve never heard of some of the world’s most respected designers.
Very true 10:14.
Frost is an international heavy-weight. I doubt there would be a CD in the UK who wouldn’t know who he is whether they work in advertising or design or both. His work for D&AD and big magazine amongst others is legendary – these idiots have probably been ripping his work off unknowingly for years.
It isn’t about ‘advertising’ or ‘design’, it is about being knowable and aware of visual culture and those that shape it.
Jesus, I’m embarrassed for our industry.
Australia is to the UK as Campaign Brief is to Creative Review.
I think this goes some way to explaining this ignorance.
@10:14
Indignant Art Director?
Passed over?
Bitter?
Much?
Frost is an absolute legend, people on this blog astound me
Wow, so this is the industry i want to get into? An industry full of twats who don’t know some of the heavyweights in an industry that has so much influence and makes up half of this thing we call advertising?
What’s with this storm of indignation about ignorance of Frost?
I, like many, have heard of Frost – Jack Frost. He made my toes feel chilly last night.
well, i think its iNTeresting that most people here recall the campaign.

Frost is good no doubt, just check their work you should know it.
god help them with the new CEO.
Frost is good don’t be a bunch of snark faces.
it’s easy to type but try and think.
i’ve just had a great design idea. Helvetica bold.
Big fish, little pond. And in some cases fishbowl. Just wow.
@joe
Yes because ‘advertising’ is such a dark mysterious art that only ‘advertising’ people can do. Go and watch another episode of Mad Men. The industry has changed in case you haven’t noticed.
Oh Vince.
Can I buy a vowel?
