Adam & Eve London created these two spots for Australia’s iconic beer, Fosters, directed by Australian Tim Bullock through Hungryman, London.

they. are. excellent.
Put them to air here and Fosters will sell some beer!
I like it. Back to the ultra Australian Stereotype to sell Australian beer to the poms. Tried & tested but works great.
Now, if only Fosters didn’t taste like dogs piss, they might be able to sell some more beer. All I can say is thank god for all the micro breweries popping up in Australia. All our mainstream beers taste like crap!
I’m with 12.04
really, really good. made me larf.
Love them!
TIm is rocking the free world.
go timbo! they’re brilliant.
Poo
these a disgustingly racist which is un australian, actually no it’s not. they are amazing.
I saw the Leaner one on air here in the UK a few days ago and thought it was a pity as they had overdone the aussie cultural cues. The whole mise en scene was a bit Malibu circa 2001, too. They should give it to an aussie agency.
great work and very funny….
2:20 The fact you used the phrase “mise en scene” makes you a cock. Your argument is invalid.
Bullock and Middleditch are like Hansel and Zoolander — that Hansel’s soo hot right now… they even look like the characters …
Bullock did a very good job (as usual) given these below par scripts. Well done.
Pretty ordinary looking handball from the the man in the leaner spot. Can be difficult to do sitting down, but just didn’t look legit. I know nobody cares.
3;07 I couldnt agree more
2;20 give the fucking media handbook a rest mate and stop trying to impress everyone just using the word ‘mood’ would have been fine 🙂
Love it. I’m glad the ad world has hit a few home runs this year.
These are so bad
nice
Credit where it’s due, guys. This is exactly what you want from a beer ad. (Even if that particular beer tastes like lukewarm, metallically tinged, feline urine).
The concept is light, fun, and not too mentally demanding. A bit like a size-6 waitress. Yeah, as far as I’m concerned, this is the acceptable face of ocker cliché recycling. Good Call.
Adam and Eve are a great agency- definite ones to watch.
now that the bullock team have taken up the first 21 posts, how about some realistic comments people? they are mediocre at best. there was an opportunity to make them funny but they’re just not.
Jesus, that bloke handballed like it was the first time he’d ever picked up a Sherrin.
Not that it matters given the audience.
These are just ok. When you compare them to the bone-dry wit of the XXXX stuff that ran in Britain years ago, I think they come up a bit short. These spots a chock full of dialogue, but with four words, this old XXXX spot nailed the classic aussie wit perfectly:

Like the premise though. Just wish the scripts were better.
4.26, I care. i too saw the handball. It was terrible. Obviously they watched a West Coast eagles game for reference.
Where’s the shrimps & bbqs?
Actually I find these spots hilarious, first time a pom’s ever taken an aussies advice.
I really liked these, although I thought the Learner spot was much funnier. Made me laugh aloud a couple of times.
Very fucking good indeedy, even though the learner bloke was laying on the “Smiffy” performance a tad strong me thinks.
It is not the hackneyed Aussie cliches that grate here, but the one-dimesional Gavin & Stacey intonation. No doubt the UK public will continue to categorise this a humorous, cheerful and sunny. And no doubt I will be labelled a cock for using the word intonation.
I wrote the first comment on this thread, and I’ll bet my wage I’m more “senior” than you. These ads are great… simple, based on a truth (good call) and funny. Watch them pick up metal.. err.. everywhere. If you’re looking to drag them down.. you’re a bit of a ‘see you next Tuesday’ aren’t you? A bit of a downer. Why? You haven’t made anything good. It’s true, isn’t it? You’re a talker, but not a do-er. Spend less time throwing stones and more time building your glasshouse. Ultimately, you’ll be a better creative for it. And you might sell something like this.
4.05 nailed it. Proof you can polish a turd
I know the accents are cranked up to Aussie extreme for English ears, but there’s something that doesn’t sound quite right about them (shades of a Hale and Pace type approach). In particular the dark haired bloke sounds a bit off to me, like he could actually be English doing an Australian accent or even more likely a Kiwi doing an Aussie accent (the way he says “shouter” and “up in your grill” as examples). I don’t think it will affect how Poms relate to them, but it does kind of bug me.
11.54pm,
I bet I’m as senior as you and they’re shit.
9.25…you are a dill.
The dark haired bloke is Becks from ‘Ant and Becks’ Mix 106.5 FM.
You need to get out more.
I bet I’m as senior as both of you x a mobility scooter plus 3 colostomy bags and a hip op – and you’re both wrong.
They won’t win any awards, they’re not shit. They’re a 6.78/10
I bet I am more fucking senior than any of you young punks, and this stuff is great and … sorry, forgot what I was on about, where am I?
The hand pass was a fucking disgrace. Ruined it.
(And I’m a league fan)
Love ’em. Plain and simple. Well done lads, made me laugh.
Who cares how senior you are. It’s about taste. That’s why I wash my ponytail with Decore before I jump in my Porsche and hit Berry St Tavern with my receptionist.
