Terrible art direction. That type belongs in a tampon ad.
Why do smart advertising professionals like these guys continue to promote this type of work on this blog?
Surely they’re expecting a barrage of negativity.
Am I missing something?
“The tagline, Experience More, will allow us to show there’s now more to the paper…”
Really?
How incredible insightful. How many people spent how long sweating over such a line?
Months? Years, maybe?
Expected more.
Unutterable rubbish. Looks like something out the 80’s. Then again we shouldn’t be that surprised, Whybins is still stuck in the 80’s.

I’m sure you’re a lovely, sweet thing; however, you have ‘incredibly’ poor grammar.
Would the people involved in this work be proud of putting this in their book? Or if they saw this work in someone else’s portfolio, would they say ” Dude you gotta put that on CampaignBrief, that’s going to make a lot people very jealous”
I watched the Puma ad and realised how far I am from the bar. Then I looked at this and realised I am the best copywriter in the world.
Hmm… I’m not sure if the agency in question would have posted this…. bit of self p.r from the client perhaps?
Wow. This is terrible.
Here’s an ad done by a dude in his garage stoned at 2am using scissors and paste with a hi-res scanner.
Oh sorry, an ad agency did this?
No credits. Say no more.
I’m never reading that paper again.
What, no quote from Matty and Dave?
Pre Matty and Dave?
They were there, they can’t duck this one. What a pile of poo.
Can’t wait to see the IAG work?
Good one Garry!
Doesn’t look like he’s experiencing anything at all!
I don’t give a fuck if it was Matty and Dave. They are there now. This is PR now. And it’s poo wearing a turd hat and a shit suit.
Sorry 9.08, not guilty.

Judging by the cat’s expression, it doesn’t want to have anything to do with this idea.
There is an idea there but the execution is well, shit.
Doddsie love cats.
This is identical to the Sun Herald stuff Host did prior to Whybins winning the account.
My guess is the credits are as follows:
Art Director: Studio
Copywriter: Client
Creative Director: Account Director
Strategic Planner: Thief / Dumb, either way, crime doesn’t pay.

Get caught up… on 1993, by the look of this ad.
It looks about as dull and uninspiring as reading a newspaper.
When was the last time you read one? 2001? Hang on… this ad would have stank even then.
