Emma Freeman’s biopic on Bob Hawke makes its debut on Network 10 Sunday night (July 18) at 8.30pm. It’s the story of Australia’s most loved Prime Minister as he faces his greatestchallenge: a battle within his own party. Wediscover his incredible transformation from the hard-drinking, womanising butbrilliant trade union president to a polished, egalitarian and visionary worldleader.
Adirector with The Guild, Freeman recently returned to commercials after takinga break to shoot the film. “Itwas an irresistible opportunity for a director – to make a film about Bob andthe Hawke era – when Australian politics were truly alive. And of course theopportunity to work with some of Australia¹s greatest actors,” says Freeman.

please make a biop on Keating. I loved Hawke biop but it shafted Keating. The feint praise that the real mr and mrs Hawke shovelled onto Keating was undignified
