Editor Tim Parrington joins Melbourne boutique editorial company The Butchery
The Butchery has announced the addition of Tim Parrington to it’s roster of award winning editors.
The widely respected and creative editor brings with him a wealth of experience, combined with design and visual effects expertise.
Says Parrington: “If it’s true that you can judge someone by the company they keep, I’m privileged once again to share a workplace with some of Australia’s best”
The Butchery’s Rohan Zerna had success this year picking up Australia’s only Cannes Lion award in the editing category.
Rohan picked up a Bronze for VW Jetta ‘Memories’, one of only six spots awarded worldwide in this category for 2012. Other winners included Canal+ ‘Bear’ and The Guardian’s ‘Three Little Pigs’
Jess Asz (pronounced ‘ash’) is The Butchery’s newest post-production producer, who’s previously worked in the UK for BBC Studios & Post Production as a post producer.
The Butchery’s editors are known to keep their knives sharp on projects around commercials, to stay fresh. Editors Mike Lutman and Graeme Pereira have both been cutting short promo films and music video’s recently, and the big news is the short film ‘Yardbird’ which Jack Hutchings edited made official competition at Cannes Film Festival in May this year. This marked the forth short film cut by Hutchings to gain acceptance at this esteemed festival, each time with a different director behind the project, and each time beating out over three thousand entries to gain a place.
The Butchery’s post production house The Refinery, have been utilising their new resolve colour grading suite. Colourist Vincent Taylor has been behind the wheels for directors from out of town and local including Glendyn Ivin, Ben Quinn, Jacok Daschek, Justin Kurzel and Kiku Ohe.
