Dylan Taylor set to depart BMF – client director Stephen McArdle assumes managing partner role
BMF managing partner Dylan Taylor has decided to leave the agency after eight years to pursue other opportunities.
Taylor became managing partner in November 2011 and prior to the promotion he was executive creative director. During his eight years at BMF, Taylor has been recognised at local and international award shows such as Caples New York, Cannes Lions, ADMA and, as part of the BMF team, he has won several Agency of the Year awards.
Says Taylor: “I have enjoyed my time at BMF immensely, however time is the enemy of us all and it feels like the right moment for me to pursue other opportunities. I wish everyone at BMF continued success, it is a great agency.
“I will miss a lot of things about BMF, but one thing stands above all others -the people. They are without doubt a class apart – passionate, smart and bullish.”
Says Jeremy Nicholas, BMF chief executive: “Dylan has made an indelible contribution to the agency and the industry over his eight years here. All of the BMF family wish him the very best in the future.”
BMF client director Stephen McArdle will assume the role of managing partner. McArdle joined BMF in February from leading London agency CHI & Partners, where he was a board member and director of client service.
Chris Kay continues as the other managing partner in the Sydney office. BMF recently appointed former Clemenger Melbourne executive director Ricci Meldrum as managing partner for BMF, Melbourne.

“has decided to leave the agency”
I always love that line.
A planner at the top. Suits now calling the shots. Hardly seems a winning formula to promote the creative product. Best of luck with that creative entrepreneurial spirit BMF. Guess the creatives are now carrying the bags, eh?
No matter how you put it, and history always demonstrate it, when an independent creative shop sells out, it heralds the start of the road to its eventual demise.
@The God Father: do you like it more than “spend more time with my family” ?
rga…
@ bleeding obvious,
spot on me thinks.
@ bleeding obvious and smart money,
I sincerely doubt it.
I like, “taking time to work on his novel”
