Domain.com.au targets spring sellers in new national campaign via Whybin\TBWA\Tequila
Leveraging one of the year’s prime seasons in real estate, Domain.com.au has launched a major national advertising campaign centred on the premise that if a house isn’t listed on Domain.com.au, it’s invisible.
The campaign, created by Whybin\TBWA\Tequila, Sydney, is spearheaded by TV executions across Channels 9, 10 and subscription TV as well as online and print campaigns extending across Fairfax Digital and Fairfax Media networks.
Fairfax Media General Manager – Key Categories, Tony Blamey said: “Thisclever new campaign for Domain.com.au is targeted at sellers who needto understand that Domain.com.au is a vital element in their quest tobe found by buyers in this busy time.”
The campaign illustrates the importance of vendors discussing theiradvertising options with their real estate agent and includingDomain.com.au as a key platform to attract the right buyers to theirproperty. This is especially true during the busy spring period.
The spot was directed by Dave Klaiber and produced by Susannah DiLallo via Plaza Films.

I like it!
Simple. Funny. Job well done.
sweet
BWAHAHAHAHAHA he ran into an invisible house! LOL ROFL
What a tired idea , looks dated and cheap.
Great stuff. And like the runner, I didn’t see that coming.
Awesome work… Very funny and ballsy from the client… Love the track…. Who made it???
I really like it, I think it’s to the point and effective.
So much pointier and relevant than the realestate.com.au work. Much more of a reason to list the website here, excuse the pun but putting these side-by-side the other is a bit ‘flowery’.
9.43.
The track is called ‘Run’ and is by Sydney band Cog.
Strong, simple work with clear message…..I like it
Talk it up people!
Jeez …
I think the ad works a treat. Simple but effective idea.
I am amazed that Cog agreed to have their track on a TV commercial since they have such an anti-capitalist agenda. The next thing you know, Rage Against The Machine will be providing the music for a Coke commercial.
What’s with all the spruik, guys? Talk about living the brand.
Get back to work, Whybins. The ad is nothing special and certainly doesn’t deserve all the effort you’re putting in praising it.
Actually, there was an old Coke ad that used a Rage Against the Machine track (or at least a sound alike). An animated one done at McCanns in the mid 90s.
Invisible?
A slight exaggeration i would have thought.
Isn’t realestate.com.au number 1?
OMG BWAHAHAHA Right into the invisible building! LOL ROFL PMSL!!!!
What, like he didn’t notice his house wasn’t there? As for the music, yes we get it… he’s running.
You shoulda just done a microsite. And other social media stuff because people love talking positively about property. So modern…..funny, simple ad BTW like it
Geezus, wasn’t expecting those comments, can’t say I liked it at all.
Agree Ben, i don’t like it either.
Good ad, killer track. Don’t know why people are dissing it. Its just a bit of fun.
Oh thats right everyone commenting does so much better….
Simple idea done well.
Back to award school for some of you..
Made me laugh
Good job
Yes Ben, it’s shite.
Fine, simple, understandable, single minded.
All on a small budget, what a shame you didn’t have a massive one so you could have produced some self indulgent, execution driven garbage that the nay sayers here might well have loved.
Come on girls, you’re starting to sound like a bunch of clients.
Well done Whybins, I know how tough SMH is to work with.
And the end result – pretty swell.

My official rating is: 2/5*
Anyone who thinks that this is ‘shite’ as a piece of communication for a relatively dry category doesn’t deserve to work in advertising. They obviously don’t understand that we simply try to express a product benefit in a simple, single minded fashion without execution etc getting in the way. In fact 5.48 is a shite for brains.
I’m of the opinion that anyone who likes cog as a band isn’t really worthy of an opinion on anything except novelty t’s and “the weather”.
Not shite, but ordinary at best.
Michael, my opinion is that your opion indicates you aren’t aware of very much at all.
You can see he has a boner when he falls over… just saying
I actually love their ad where the kids are in the bath and the mum walks in total crackup
