Direct Lions triumph for Australia: six Gold Lions, four Silver Lions and four Bronze Lions; Grand Prix goes to Special, Auckland

Australia had a triumphant night tonight at the Direct Lions ceremony, snaring a record six Gold, four Silver and four Bronze Lions, while New Zealand took out the Grand Prix for the Orcon Broadband ‘Orcon + Iggy’ campaign via Special, Auckland.

Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney scored three Gold Lions, all for its Toyota 4WD ‘Nothing Soft gets in’ work, while Leo Burnett Sydney won one Gold Lion plus a Silver and two Bronze Lions, all for the Canon ‘Photochains’ campaign. Droga5 Australia scored a Gold Lion and a Silver Lion, both for V Australia ‘4320 LA/SYD’. Clemenger BBDO Melbourne won a Gold Lion for Guide Dogs Australia ‘Support Scent’.

A Silver Lion went to George Patterson Y&R Melbourne for Picnic ‘It’s no picnic’ and Three Drunk Monkeys, Sydney scored a Silver Lion for The Cancer Council ‘Sun Sound’. BMF Sydney won a Bronze Lion for Tooheys Extra Dry ‘Six beers of separation’ and DDB Sydney won a Bronze Lion for AWARD ‘Call for Entries’.
