Digital shop Visual Jazz names three key staff hires in Sydney on back of a year of solid growth
Digital creative agency Visual Jazz has announced three key staff appointments in Sydney on the back of a year of solid growth.
Grant Henderson (left) has been promoted to general manager, Sydney, leading a team of creatively-minded digital experts. Formerly creative director, Henderson has been with the business for three years and has clocked up 14 years in the advertising industry, working in digital at Euro RSCG prior to joining VJ. He has developed and implemented digital campaigns for major brands including Sony, Commonwealth Bank, Telstra, Tourism NT and Icon Films.
Digital strategist, Hannah Donovan (above right) brings with her six years of strategic advertising experience and a passion for digital. She will head up the strategic planning offering for VJ Sydney. She joins VJ from McCann Sydney where she recently drove the successful introduction of Kleenex to the world of social media. She has advised clients including Adidas, Xbox, Kimberly Clark, Pfizer, London Olympic and Durex while working in Australia and the UK.
Verity Tuck (above left) has moved from VJ Melbourne to the Sydney office as a senior account director. She will lead the account management team working on clients including David Jones, Tourism NT and ABC TV. Verity has worked for VJ for three years and prior to that worked with a boutique digital agency in the UK.
Says Henderson: “Visual Jazz Sydney has enjoyed fantastic growth over the past few years, and that growth curve is set to steepen as we head into a very busy second half of 2011. Hannah and Verity bring a wealth of talent to our outstanding Sydney team, and will help drive the business forward around key new clients such as David Jones and longer term relationships such as the ABC, Tourism NT and Icon Films. These appointments also mark a significant investment in strengthening our position as a top strategic and creatively-led agency, which is great for our clients.”
Says David Stephenson, managing director of Aegis Media Pacific’s Digital Creative division: “There is some incredibly exciting work coming out of Visual Jazz in Sydney and our recent promotions and hires are all about further establishing our team in the harbour city. 2011 has already been a big year for VJ Sydney, and with these guys in place working on some really exciting projects, we’re strongly positioned to continue to grow.”
