Gareth Cooper.jpgCummins&Partners has announced that it has added Gareth Cooper as executive strategy director to its fast growing, 18-month-old, Sydney office. Cooper will report into managing director, Rebecca Bezzina.

Says Adam Ferrier, global chief strategy officer, Cummins&Partners: “What attracted us to Gareth is his variety of application. Bit brand, bit media, bit behavioural, bit direct, bit unconventional. His rounded experience gives clients a view that considers all angles of the opportunity. He’s a great fit for our team of independently minded strategic thinkers.  He’s regarded as one of the best agency thinkers in Australia and we are stoked to have him join.”

Prior to being executive strategy director at Host, Cooper spent two years sharing strategic responsibility at M&C Saatchi. His first six years in Australia were spent at BMF, joining as channel planning director and leaving them as head of planning.

Says Cooper: “How refreshing. A truly progressive, truly independent, creative:media agency, that doesn’t separate creative and media thinking – lovely. And judging by the people and momentum they’ve gathered, an exciting time to come aboard.”

Says Bezzina: “With more clients looking to join the likes of Vodafone, Fox Sports, Movember and The National Home Doctor Service, there’s growing scope for Gareth to help build enduring brand platforms that drive the action our clients are striving for.”
