I quite like the idea of being one of those ‘cool dudes’ that says, ‘ yeah, just another day of lions judging – c`est la vie,’ but I’m not. I’m excited and extremely grateful to be here in Cannes and chuffed to be one voice within the judging room. I’m a guy drinking orange juice on the rocks.

The lions are cool. Lions Health is cool. A few of the judges definitely have that ‘cool’ thing going on. And a number of pieces of work I saw today were cool too.

20150617_140541.jpgIt was a marathon jury session today with lots of debate. Over thirteen intense hours opinions were shared and the pros and cons of individual entries were voiced. Shortlisting isn’t easy. But after day three of judging the cream of the crop remains, ready for tomorrow’s final judgement.

Many different countries have entered winning work this year and some countries are dominating more than others. At this point in proceedings however, it remains to be seen which country will come out on top.

Tomorrow is my final day of jury duty, then shortlisted entries will be revealed. Like all the jurors I’ll be doing my very best to get it right.

It’s 11.24pm. Time for one more OJ. This time with a double shot of Vodka.
