Collingwood Football Club takes a stand in new membership drive via Spike Creative, Melbourne

Voiced by Jack Thompson and directed by SceneOn’s Andrew Coyle, Collingwood Football Club’s 2012 membership drive, via Spike Creative, Melbourne, was filmed with three cameras, a 60-foot green screen, and a Collingwood army. SceneOn’s post facilities were used to great effect to create and comp in the army with some rotoscoping, paintwork, digital flares and sky replacements all used to deliver the grand scale required.

Ii’m not a Collingwood fan but I think this will work for their supporters well
i hate them but impressive
great ad, i like it.
Hate the team. Like the ad.
Finally the clubs seem to be realising what a decent spot can do for them. It definitely hits the mark.
Looks even bigger than last years!
Jack Thompson – The Club – Beautiful match, Spike are switched on.
Horribly over-written.
Ganging up….good insight into their culture.
How dare they wear those Gold Premiership AFL logos on their guernseys.
There’s only one reigning premier.
Gee-long!
I know it was Bucks, Maxwell etc etc etc, but was that Gill Sans?
Braveheart, yawn.
Last year’s underdog meets higher this year’s foes.
When will sport teams realise that a perceived ‘specialisation’ in sport (i.e. Spike) is just an excuse for formulaic mediocrity?
This is really good. Emotive, clever, nice insight.
And they’ve somehow managed to make the biggest club in Victoria look like the underdog who needs members.
Probably the best AFL membership ad I’ve seen. But won’t help them come ANZAC day.
Fuck Collingwood and all who sail in her. Could not be bothered looking at he ad.
Try hard GayFL club from bumfuck Melboring trying to be an EPL football team, with grandiose Nike-esque overtones.
As stupid as the game itself.

You are entitled to your opinion (even with its homophobic and insulting tone), but what on earth is suggestive of, or trying to be like the EPL in this ad?
