Chambers to head of art at CUBED Melbourne; Anita Deutsch to client services director

Melbourne independent agency CUBED Communications has strengthened their account management and creative teams, adding Anita Deutsch as client services director and Mal Chambers as head of art.
Deutsch joins CUBED with 10 years direct and integrated agency experience at Clemenger Proximity and Simon Richards Group working on clients including RACV, AXA, ANZ, Sensis and GE Money. She also worked for Jetstar, as national marketing manager and SCA as a brand manager. But her desire to return to an agency was strong.
“It’s always been really important to me that I work at an agency with results as its focus. So I like the fact CUBED really understand the power of targeting effectiveness and being accountable to clients…it’s what true integration is all about.”
Chambers is a highly awarded and experienced art director having worked in the UK and Australia with agencies including The Campaign Palace, Ogilvy, Smart, Sputnik and Clemenger BBDO.
CUBED founding partner, Mike Chuter believes Deutsch and Chambers will add further experience to the team: “Anita brings a great mix of experience and exuberance to the team. She is an individual who generally cares about people and wants nothing but the best for her clients. Mal is a gifted and passionate creative. He is another significant step towards building the creative department to where we want it to be.”
Deutsch will take responsibility of the ANZ and TRUenergy businesses as well as other key opportunities.
CUBED CD Bruce Williams is excited about once again teaming up with Deutsch, after 3 years together at Clemenger Proximity, where they were responsible for winning numerous awards together, including a prestigious GOLD ECHO. “I count myself lucky working with Anita again – to have the opportunity is fantastic. I think the CUBED way will really bring out her best.
Chambers’ hiring also bolsters the creative department: “After considering hiring Mal for the last few years, I feel great that this is the right time to have him on board. He is a true professional that has a great understanding of cross-channel opportunities.” Williams said.
After the recent hiring of junior creative team Tim Clement and Hannah McElhinney, (through the MADC Mentor Program), Williams believes the creative credentials of the agency will soon be highly regarded in the industry “Hannah and Tim are a great addition, and now Mal really adds that much needed experience to their exuberance.”
