Is it true that Medibank is leaving Patts?
Beautiful stuff. But I don’t understand how was this made without an agency involved?
I don’t think we have enough 60 second montage spots, observational in tone with a deep cinematic VO around. pull focus here, pull focus there. neutral colour palette…blah, blah, blah. But sure, it looks really nice.
Sadly, that’s a better effort than a lot of the crap put out by agencies.
In-house. A brilliant name for an agency. Like No-names for a cafe.
Great mood reel. Can’t wait to see the ad.
Sorry but that isn’t what I would call ‘in-house’. In-house means that they create, write, produce and direct something with their internal personnel.
Here they have freelance advertising folk and a production company producing the job. Looks more like a production house working direct for a client.
Agencies are getting rid of production companies, so why shouldn’t clients get rid of agencies?
Now if we can just find a way to lose those pesky actors, writers, photographers, and directors, we may have something.
Whenever the term “in house” appears on this blog you all collectively shit yourselves.
Don’t believe me? Do a search on here and see.
No objectivity whatsoever.
Nice work team.
Do I believe anything in that ad after reading it’s a spot by Carsales… It’s a nice montage with a soft VO designed to make you feel something that has nothing to be with selling your car for $60 to a bunch of people looking for a better deal than Car City, Ringwood.
If done “in-house” hats off but sounds fishy
With a bit of hunting around it seems the carsales CD used to work for Clems, GPYR, M&C.. In-house definitely seems plausible. I like the direction carsales are taking..
What a wank, when has advertising been about a literal representation of the experience.
Nicely shot.
There’s something patronising about that VO though.
Did anyone else notice that the Marketing Manager’s name is Fiona Driver?
Awesome add, plenty of emotion. Isn’t it about time that advertising was a little truthful? Love it.
