What the fuck are the John Caples Awards? “Prestigious”?
They are the highest ranking in points alongside Cannes in the Gunn Report.
In the Dm world – they are the ducks nuts. Thats why Kingy getting the lifetime achievement award was so special.
How long have you worked in this industry?
yeah if you haven’t heard of Caples you’re a bit of head in the sand kinda person.
it’s most prestigious worldwide award system purely for Direct – not just DM but Direct Response and Digital too.
It’s really interesting that Dog a like has been so successful award wise because the technology seems to be really wonky. At best the face match ups seem to be 90% random. Not saying it doesn’t deserve to win – it’s a really engaging idea, just seems execution has not caught up to the idea. I would think digital ideas need to actually work, functionally, to be considered a success.
