CanopyVFX spins out of Airbag Productions offering in-house motion capture system

With Airbag Production’s renewed focus as a production house, its substantial post-production and visual effects arm has been spun into an independent company: CanopyVFX.

CanopyVFX has a broad history in the visual effects industry, and is focused on creating cutting edge effects for television commercials. The rebranding signals a new direction for Canopy as it moves into effects for film and television as well as it’s traditional base in TVC’s, servicing both agencies and production companies.

CanopyVFX boasts a team of talented visual effects artists with an extensive skill base covering 3D visual effects, compositing, live action and full CG projects for clients as diverse as The Australian Open, Mattel and Virgin Blue. Outstanding photo-real vehicle work has been completed for Ford, Mazda, Cherry and MTAA.

CanopyVFX offers cutting edge in-house motion capture, a system allowing for capture of character performance, as well as an ‘Avatar’-style virtual camera, effectively allowing a director to peer into a 3D world and direct the camera action.
