Campaign Brief Creative Rankings: Ant Keogh top executive CD, Jay Furby top creative

Furby-Jay-NEW.jpgClemenger BBDO Melbourne’s Ant Keogh is Australia’s best executive creative director and Australia’s top creative is Jay Furby, ECD of JayGrey Sydney, according to the Campaign Brief Creative Rankings, released today.

Keogh (above left), who tops the ECD chart, has produced a body of work that is truly world-class, as has Furby (above right), who tops the Creative chart.

The Campaign Brief Creative Rankings of the top advertising agencies, executive creative directors, creative directors, agency creatives and marketers in Australia, plus top TVC directors and production companies, are based on points awarded for Top 6 of the Week in the world on Campaign Brief’s global creative site www.bestadsontv.com over the last two years.

Ant Shannon is next on 11 points ahead of Steve Back on 9 points and Jay Benjamin on 8 points.

Furby heads the Creative table with 16 points, followed by Nigel Dawson on 15 points, ahead of David White and Peter Becker on 13 points apiece.

The body of work of each ECD and creative in the CB Rankings can be viewed, going back a decade – by simply clicking on the person’s name.

The Rankings can be sorted by only the last year, the last three years, the last five years or the last decade.

Former DDB national ECD Matt Eastwood, now CCO at DDB New York, tops the Australian ECD of the decade chart with 34 points, followed by BMF’s Warren Brown on 31 points with Leo Burnett Sydney’s Andy DiLallo and Clemenger BBDO’s James McGrath on equal #3 with 30 points and former Whybin\TBWA\Tequila Sydney ECD Garry Horner, now ECD at The Brand Agency, Perth at #5 on 27 points.

Worldwide, DDB New Zealand ECD Toby Talbot is the #1 ECD over the last two year period, ahead of Colenso BBDO Auckland’s Nick Worthington, Shalmor Avnon Amichay/Y&R Tel Aviv’s Gideon Amichay, Prolam Y&R Santiago’s Tony Sarocca, BBDO New York’s David Lubars, DDB London’s Jeremy Craigen and Clemenger BBDO’s Ant Keogh. Over the last decade Toby Talbot leads the world ECD pack, followed by David Lubars, Nick Worthington, Mike O’Sullivan, Bill Bruce, Jeremy Craigen and Matt Eastwood. Followed by Tony Sarocca, Warren Brown, Andy DiLallo, Gideon Amichay, James McGrath and Tony Granger.

BMF’s Dennis Koutoulogenis tops the Australian Creative of the decade chart with 23 points, followed by Jay Furby and Grey Melbourne’s Nigel Dawson at equal #2 on 21 points with Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne’s Tom Martin at #4 with 19 points. Clemenger BBDO Melbourne’s Ant Keogh and DDB Melbourne’s Tim Holmes are equal #5 with 18 points apiece.

Worldwide, London-based Mother is ranked #1 Creative over the last two year period, ahead of Gavin Siakimotu, Joe Hawkins and Natalie Knight at equal #2 with Jay Furby and Jonathan McMahon at equal #5. VIEW THE WORLDWIDE CHART

Over the last decade Mother leads the world Creative pack, followed by Karl Fleet, Jonathan McMahon, Dave Brady, Lisa Fedyszyn, Joe Hawkins, Dennis Koutoulogenis and Jay Furby.

The Rankings charts – which now reside on the right hand side of the CB Blog – will obviously change slightly week by week, reflecting changes based on points accrued in the previous 2 year period.
