D5 Sydney are killing it
jesus when is that best job going to end -surely it was in last year!
Pure waters, gold at every show so far and a nomination at D&AD. Well done Micah & Co. Great to see it get nominations for Directing, special effects and Editing also. Now that is just pure class and almost impossible for an Australian ad. So a big congrats has to go to Steve Rogers and the guys he got involved. Just brilliant.
Well done to D5 also. Neither of these campaigns are my faves but still, 2 campaigns getting nominations. Brilliant.
It’s not easy to out do the poms when it comes to beer, so 2 beer campaigns has to be a first doesn’t it?
Last but not least, Best job in the world. Glad the poms recognized it. I really wasn’t sure they would. I thought they’d get on their high English horse.
In my book, this is a great year for Australia. Killer.
Well done Palace Sydney.
Congrats DDB. AWARD was awesome. Should pick up at Cannes.
Nice one Monkeys!
Surely, unless Revolver have been absorbed by Publicis (I thought they were on a hiring freeze??), the accolade should go to them, not the agency? Not sure who edited them, and I guess now we’ll never know? Maybe a small point, but we’ve got some amazing prod companies given size of industry and these awards are a great ad for them too. Congrats all, though, sincerely.
Well done Nobby and Co.
Complete domanation!
Yes, I did mean ‘domanation’ in a sexual way.
A total screw.
Yeha.
Not to be confused with Domination of any kind…
Hang on. Rewind that. Australia; 3rd in entire world at D&AD???
That’s bloody massive. Hey, here’s a thought: let’s stop botching about our own on this and other blogs, and start celebrating the fact everyone else in the world wants to work here: not just for the beaches, but also because we’re world class at ads.
Stop the hating. Start the loving.
Congrats Droga5, Mojo, Revolver and all great Aussie inspirers….
Well done the Nobster!, No looking back!
10.19, I assume you meant “bitching” not “botching”???
In which case, couldn’t agree more.
The only thing holding us back here and in NZ (where I hear it’s even worse) is all the tall poppy bitching that goes on this side of the world.
It’s time we collectively pulled our head in and focused on being No2 at D&AD next year…
Less Aussies on the panel – and we take home more metal!
Well done, the work must’ve been great. We all know how much OS judges hate Australian work.
That should be “fewer” Aussies on the panel, 11.34.
But who cares about the language these days?
@11:34 what makes you think OS judges hate our work? not my experience at all having worked and judged OS. the great real work like boags, big ad etc seems to get up.
