Bonds invites public to design their own hipsters with online competition via Holler, Sydney
To celebrate the launch of Bonds new Mesh and Microfibre Hipsters, Aussie clothing icon Bonds, via digital agency Holler Sydney, is giving people the chance to create one of three, limited edition Hipster prints.
The online design competition asks users to choose a photo they think would look and feel great on a pair of Hipsters and upload it to enter. The best three images as chosen by a panel of Bonds designers will be made into limited edition Hipsters available for sale to the public.
The competition, which follows the launch of the campaign via The Campaign Palace, Sydney late last week, is aimed at young people interested in fashion, with an eye for photography and design.
This promotion is a first for Bonds in terms of giving creative control to their fans. It also utilises an innovative entry mechanism- giving people the choice to submit their entry via the photo sharing app Instagram.
“Bonds is a brand that people love and want to be a part of,” says Bonds brand manager, Zoe Hayes. “While we’re a huge part of the online community already – what we loved about this idea is that is transcended the digi to reality gap. This time we’re truly giving the power to the people by giving them the ability to put their creations on our iconic Hipster range. We love that we can put our fans in the Bonds design seat.”
“Bonds ethos has always been ‘by the people, for the people’,” says Holler’s creative director Richard Morgan, “now for the first time, we’re bringing that belief to life.”
