3 Stephen left Robert right.jpgBoffswana executive producer Robert Stock (near left) has left the Melbourne-based business he founded in 2008 to start Mohobo.

His departure coincides with that of director Stephen Van Elst (far left) who has taken the role of ECD of Spinifex North America.

Stock, with some former members of the Boffswana design and development team, can now be found at Mohobo where they will continue their ground breaking work as well as expanding their offering.

During Stock and Van Elst’s time at Boffswana they very quickly established an enviable reputation for innovation, design and considered user experience.

Highlights included many awards local and international Golds, FWA Site of the Day’s (including the first ever awarded to a physical Installation), Finalists at the Webby’s and Cannes etc.

Technical breakthroughs and ‘firsts’ were also a constant part of the work and research Boffswana undertook:

  • Development of the Unity3D Augmented Reality game (Saatchi NY – Honey Nut Cheerios)
  • Smile detection in Flash (Grey Melb – Greenseas)
  • Augmented reality movie making (Carmichael Lynch MN – Living Sasquatch)
  • Use of emotion, gender and age tracking in installations (DT Digital Honda Dream wall and M&C Saatchi Melb – ANZ Tennis).
  • Live Projection Mapping Performance (MediaCom – Alienware)

The last project completed by the Boffswana team features a projection mapped live action cinema commercial.
