An article on ReadWriteWeb by Marshall Kirkpatrick takes us behind-the-scenes at the Old Spice video marathon. He describes how a team ofcreatives, tech geeks, marketers and writers gathered in an undisclosedlocation in Portland, Oregon yesterday and produced 87 short comedic YouTubevideos about Old Spice in real time. Those videos and 74 more made so far today havenow been viewed more than four million times and counting. The team worked for11 hours yesterday to make 87 short videos, that’s just over seven minutes pervideo, not accounting for any breaks taken.

Eric Kallman, one of the keyWieden + Kennedy copywriters on the Old Spice campaign told CB that theTwitter/YouTube videos have now finished after a marathon session today, whichfinished at 5pm Portland time. Kallman is also the writer of some of the best Skittles spots when he was at TBWA\Chiat\Day, New York.
