Barnes, Catmur & Friends wins May Newspaper Ad of the Month for Hell Pizza ‘Osama’ ad
Barnes, Catmur & Friends, Auckland‘s ‘Osama’ ad for Hell Pizza has won the May New Zealand NAB Newspaper Advertisement of the Month.
The ad, which fed off the fast breaking news of bin Laden’s death, was the judges’ favourite. “Quick, simple and very topical – plus good punctuation!” was their verdict.
The May Ad of the Month judges were Angus Wardlaw – Wag The Dog/Film Construction, Dave Brown – AUT Ad Creativity and Guy Denniston – Publicis Mojo.

The ad also appears in the “What’s New” section of AdMedia and becomes a Finalist in the 2011 $10,000 Newspaper Ad of Year competition.
