Banjo Sydney hires Bell and Sharpe
Banjo, Sydney has hired a new creative team, appointing copywriter Jonty Bell and art director Les Sharpe.
Bell has worked at Publicis Mojo, Melbourne. His work has been recognised at Cannes, YoungGuns and The Outdoor Awards, where his campaign for Frosty Fruits picked up gold.
Sharpe has worked at The Furnace, Sydney, and most recently, Saatchi & Saatchi, Wellington. His work for Eurostar was the only Australian entry to get in-book at the 2009 D&AD student awards.
Says Georgia Arnott, Banjo CD: “Jonty and Les are a perfect fit for the fast-growing Banjo family. They’re sharp thinkers who are eager to produce great work. We’re excited to have them onboard.”

The video of the team is a little underwhelming. Good luck to them though, not knocking them.
That’s the whole idea. I love it
So THESE guys are responsible for the latest Nova campaign. It can only get better, I guess.
Watch this space, good shit is gonna come from these two.
Keep explorin’ them skies.

Note to small agency PR departments: It’s only really worth saying if you get in-book at the main D&AD awards. Most people in the UK only mention silver and gold to be honest.

Les was something like 19/20 years old when he got that in-book acceptance. As far as I see it he’s doing better than you.

I think not. Having just googled Les Sharp, the top hit was “Les Sharp Expert Services
Domestic sewage and industrial effluent (wastewater) treatment and discharge”
Some way to go yet.
Maybe you should try spelling his surname correctly? How far have you gotten again?

“Celebrating its client’s and their brands, always.”
Maybe Banjo should try spelling their bread-and-butter correctly on their website?
