AWARD School celebrates Auckland graduation
The AWARD School Auckland graduation was held last night, attended by the cream of the NZ industry.
Hosted by School heads Jonathan McMahon and Lisa Fedyszyn from DDB, this was the first time the program was run in Auckland.
The award for top AWARD School student went to Trong Ronakiat, (pictured centre left with McMahon and Fedyszyn) while Oriel Davis-Lyons took out the second spot. They have been offered a placement in DDB Auckland.
Says McMahon: “It’s been an intense 12 weeks and the guys have learned a lot from the inspiring lectures to the relentless feedback from the tutors. They have come a long way and we’re hopeful there will be a good strike rate when they go looking for jobs.”
AWARD School thanks AWARD School Auckland heads Fedyszyn and McMahon for their dedication to the program. They also thank DDB for their generous offer to the top students.
The judging panel responsible for selection of the top students and the ‘work on the wall’ included: Corey Chalmers (CD Droga5), Steve Cochran (ECD Colenso BBDO), Toby Talbot (Group ECD DDB), Dave King (ECD M&C Saatchi), Rob Jack and Tony Bradbourne (ECDs Special Group).

Thanks goes to those top creatives who gave of their time and shared their talent for the benefit of the students. It always seems the most talented tutors are the ones who are the most generous. Without them AWARD School couldn’t work. Thanks also goes to the Auckland agencies who supported AWARD School.
