Australia’s Cannes Contenders: Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, JayGrey Sydney + Junior Brisbane
After last year’s brilliant effort at Cannes – Australia was ranked #6 in the world – how will OZ perform at Cannes this year?Over the next two weeks in the lead up to the Festival, Campaign Briefwill be showcasing the work we hope will impress the judges…
Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne
Carlton Draught ‘Slow Mo’ stays true to the great Carlton Draught tradition of ‘taking the piss’, bringing slow motion camera technology into the pub to showcase men in all their ‘Slow Mo’ glory.
Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne
NAB launched a cheeky campaign which revolved around a public break-up with the other major banks – ANZ, Commonwealth Bank and Westpac – using a variety of creative and tactical executions to communicate to existing and potential customers.
Junior, Brisbane
To promote Griffith University’s award winning international reputation where it counts, suitcases designed by Junior, Brisbane were turned into mobile billboards, which were then given to Griffith’s international students and traveling faculty. The red suitcases featured the University’s logo and the line “Get a global perspective”. The result was free advertising in international airports all around the world.
JayGrey, Sydney
Speed is one of the major factors contributing to crashes on Victoria’s roads. Small changes in speed can result in significant reductions in road trauma. JayGrey decided to take that message to the streets. Literally. They did something that had never been done before. They covered a normal car with a 360° skin created from a vehicle involved in a high-speed collision. The car was then delivered to press conferences and media launches and is currently traveling around Victoria to serve as an impactful reminder that slowing down won’t kill you.

I reckon one of these could catch people by surprise and bring home some metal (clue, it’s not ‘Slow Mo’).
