Being a young person is never easy, especially when you’re lumberedwith a great hairy ‘hump’ growth on your spine. The brave story ofAlice, a young girl with the superhuman-like ability to drink hundredsof litres of water before hitting the music festival circuit, was used by The Brand Agency, Perth and Drug Aware to promote a message ofwater consumption this festival season.

The Perth Zoo ‘Find Your Animal’ radio campaign returned for 2010,with new spots focusing on some of the lesser-known Zoo inhabitants(including a slender-bottomed Meerkat and a Tree Frog with unusualocular concerns).

M&C Saatchi, Melbourne

It’s 2009, yet things like child prostitution, child soldiers and childdeaths from unclean water is still happening. Save the ChildrenAustralia want to make these practises obsolete. M&C SaatchiMelbourne helped bring home the message with a mix of press, outdoorand a national exhibition.

Leo Burnett, Melbourne

LeoBurnett Melbourne, working with Leo Burnett Toronto on an internationalProcter & Gamble brief, brought springtime early to a grey andgloomy Toronto park. 

Takingsocks, t-shirts and other items of clean laundry they fashioned theminto colourful flowers and scented them with P&G product Bounce. These were then used to help a leafless tree blossom back into life. Passersbycould pick the fabric flowers, smell them and unravel them to discoverthe source of the spring fresh scent was something that they couldbring to their own laundry

Publicis Mojo, Melbourne

The centerpiece of the campaign is a feature length documentary film,The Art of Walking, conceived by Publicis Mojo and produced by@radical.media. The 48-minute film follows the footsteps of threeextraordinary people – environmentalist and ‘Planetwalker’ JohnFrancis, legendary German ice-skater Katarina Witt, and Michael Milton,Australia’s most successful Paralympian and fastest-ever downhillskier. The three tell their own awe-inspiring walking stories as theyembark on the 104km journey along Australia’s most spectacularcoastline.
