Australian advertising agencies, led byJWT Melbourne, captured 19 awards in the 2009 International Mobius Awardscompetition. The wins included six first places.

JWT Melbourne, Melbourne, captured threeFirst Place Mobius Golden Statuettes, one for “ACF Invisible” inPrint-Poster and two for “CityGT” in New Media-MobileMessaging/Marketing. The agency also won three Certificates for OutstandingCreativity for “Where Stories Meet,” two in Cinema/In-Flight and athird in Outdoor-Other.

BADJAR Ogilvy, Melbourne, won a FirstPlace Golden Statuette for “Astronauts” in Cinema/In-Flight, and aSecond Place Certificate for “Date Block” in Outdoor-Billboard.

Zoom Film & Television, Brisbane,won a First Place Mobius Award and a Certificate for Football FederationAustralia ‘Come Play’ in Television.

DDB Group Melbourne, Melbourne, won aFirst Place Golden Statuette for “Parkinsons Disease” inOutdoor-Other.

Winning Second Place Certificates onlywere Soma Films, Clovelly, three Certificates in Television for”Discovery,” “Separation” and “Swap”; McCannErickson, Melbourne, two Certificates in Outdoor-Other for “DeathHappens” and “Need A Coach”; FNUKY, Adelaide, in NewMedia-Virals for “Censordyne”; Hulsbosch Strategy & Design,Sydney, in Print-Logo/Trademark/Corporate Identity for “WoolworthsIdentity,” and oddfellows, North Sydney, in Television for “Big BillLittle Bill.”

The overall competitionrecognized competitors with 93 First Place Mobius Award Golden Statuettes, 105Second Place Certificates for Outstanding Creativity, and 13 Student Awards.Twenty-nine countries participated and 20 produced winners in the 39th annualawards competition.
