Aussie expat Simon Foster lured to AMV BBDO London from Ogilvy and Mather, New York

Screen shot 2011-09-05 at 8.46.25 PM.jpgAMV BBDO, London has hired global creative director Simon Foster from Ogilvy and Mather, New York. He will work as creative director on BlackBerry as well as other key clients at the agency with his partner, John LaMacchia.

Aussie expat Foster has produced award-winning work for clients like IBM, Foster’s, American Express, TriBeCa Film Festival and Volkswagen at agencies in both Australia and the U.S.

At O&M, he won a Gold Pencil at The One Show in 2007 for his work on Foster’s, while in 2009 he and LaMacchia were nominated for an Emmy in the Outstanding Commercial category for an American Express spot featuring Tina Fey and Martin Scorsese.

For Foster and LaMacchia, the opportunity to work at AMV is like a dream come true: “We just couldn’t pass up the chance to work at one of the world’s best agencies,” he said.
