Andy Pontin promoted to CEO of Clemenger BBDO Sydney and Proximity Sydney
Andy Pontin has been promoted from managing director to CEO of Clemenger BBDO and Proximity Sydney. The promotion comes on the back of the agency’s new business success last year, winning accounts including Foxtel, Virgin Blue and Hungry Jacks.
In a release issued by Foxtel today officially confirming it had appointed Clemenger Sydney to its roster – revealed exclusively by CB in December last year, Pontin said: “Foxtel is an iconic Australian brand and a business founded on innovation and creativity. They are a dynamic and innovative company and will be a brilliant client. We had an amazing year of growth this year and this is a fantastic start to 2011.”
Pontin took on the dual role of MD of Clemenger BBDO Sydney and Proximity in August 2008, taking over from Jim Moser.

Well done Pont. Replacing Jim with Andy was one of Robert’s better decisions. Sydney is definitely benefitting. Tough on the Kiwis, but who really cares.
