Amnesty International launches digital ‘Twignatures’ from Twitter via BMF Melbourne

Amnesty International has launched a new method to collect digital signatures, called Twignature, which has been created by BMF Melbourne.

Twignature works by converting Twitter users’ names into a digital signature when they retweet a message from Amnesty International.

The instant conversion enables Twitter users to add their digital signature to online petitions whilst also promoting the cause across social media.

Twignature launches this week as part of the global Write For Rights campaign. The first Twignature campaign, which is being run out of Amnesty International Switzerland, is petitioning the Brazilian Government to protect environmental activist Laisa Santos Sampaio. The campaign is currently running in three languages: English, French and German.
