The airline’s ad agency was CumminsRoss, Melbourne, which picked up the business in September and its involvement including designing the airline’s new livery.

This message appears on the airline’s website this morning: “On February 17 2012, the Director of the Air Australia group of companies appointed John Park and Mark Korda of KordaMentha as voluntary administrators.”

According to a Channel 7 report this morning, the airline has suspended all flights, with hundreds of passengers stranded in Thailand.

The budget airline operated flights on routes including Melbourne to Phuket, Brisbane to Phuket, and Brisbane to Bali. From December routes included Melbourne to Honolulu and Brisbane to Honolulu. To mark the launch in September, Air Australia offered one-way Melbourne to Honolulu fares for as little as $599.
