I know Aerius is meant to make me feel better, but I just threw up in my mouth.
Is that normal?
I saw this on telly the other night and i really liked it.
Oh really? Yeah right. Sounds good.
wow, that sucks.
i know what they MEANT to do, but the eyes really freak me out. really.
Tough area health, all the regulations.
Well done.
The stuff nightmares are made of.
On one level, it’s not a bad send-up of that pretentiously twee ‘ball of wool’ ad for Melbourne. I think the little ‘Sprout and the Bean’ moment in the music confirms it’s a piss-take.
Decent ad. I like how perky her boobs are when she wakes up.
This is a very good spot. But it freaks me to read the negative comments and what the thinking is behind them. Scary.
Ugh. Can’t you all do anything good?
The creative thought and analogy is ok. The comments are negative because the ‘sell’ is clumsily shoved in there; Here’s the cliched smile of relief, here’s the gratuitous packshot, here’s the expected moment of transformation. Feels stereotypical in every way, which is fine for medical gear but is only going to get grudging acceptance or howls of pain from creatives.
Can we all agree to stop using Joanna Newsom or Joanna Newsom style frog vocals in ads? OK thanks.
Piss take, or borrowed interest?
More holes in it than an old woolly sock.
Harsh 10.27, ads are such a good little earner.
Beside, all the girl copywriters love my girly ways.
And that makes me smile and giggle.
Idea is interesting, but the old the look and feel is tired. Can we please evolve? THere are other ways to make a commercial.
she looks like a burns victim
Wow Saatchi’s does a TVC. How modern is that!
I’d like to slip her an Aerius.
Er, sorry Mum.
I’d be funnier if she spent the first half of the ad sneezing and the second half peeling snotty wool off her face.
I read the description of the ad to my blind friend.
He didn’t like it either.
Makes me spew wool. How is this something to yell about? Show’s how low Saatchi’s has sunken. I can remember when i actually wanted to work there.
This is a great example of the general calibre of work they are producing. Bad idea, reeeeeeally bad and cliched execution. I can just imagine the art director’s eyes lighting up when they thought they were adding “character” with the stupid ad-centric glances. It has the emotional depth of a detergent commercial. I’m with 10:27AM – somebody shoot Joanna Newsom. Let’s start making things original again.
Grandma’s knitted gimp mask.
This is not bad at all, I don’t know what you girls are crying over.
Take the client and type of product into consideration when making these immature statements.
All in all, great ad – bad pretentious music.
Saatchi’s Healthcare is almost completely independent from the rest of the agency. Check the credits, no Backy.
I like it.
These tablets don’t even work, anyway!
