AdStars kicks off 2011 Festival today
The judging is over at AD Stars 2011 and the festival will stage its opening ceremony at the Busan Haeundae Grand Hotel in South Korea in a few hours time.
This festival, which celebrates its 4th anniversary this year, has already become a world-class event. As of the entry closing date last month, a total of 7,130 works were entered, recording nearly 31% growth compared to last year.
After a rigorous preliminary evaluation by 105 judges from 39 countries, 1,267 works were selected for the final round judging conducted on the ground in Busan and led by jury president Neil French.

During the festival, seminars will be held under the theme ‘the Future of Advertising’ that will feature world-famous speakers to showcase the latest trends in advertising.
In addition, ‘Young Stars AD Competition 2011,’ inviting the participation of college students from around the world, will be held at Kyung Sung University on August 25-26 to select about 37 teams of 136 student participants from 36 universities in five countries, including Korea, China, Japan, Russia and the U.S.
