DDB’s Adam Rose set to join AJF as CD/founding partner of Sydney office – to open early 2011

AdamRose.pngDDB Sydney’s Adam Rose is set to join AJF Partnership as creative director/founding partner of its Sydney office, which will early launch next year. He will partner with managing director Digby Richards.

Rose has spent the past five years working at DDB Sydney. Earlier this year, he was promoted to head of creative duties on the DDB McDonald’s account from his role as creative group head.  Prior to DDB he was at Leo Burnett Sydney for two years. Rose began his career at Y&R Mattingly Melbourne with AJF creative director/partner Josh Stephens and also worked for a number of years with fellow partners Adam Francis and Andrew Foote.

Rose said he’s had a great run at DDB and the decision to leave was adifficult one, but he’s hugely excited to be joining AJF Partnership.

“I’ve admired the extraordinary journey the guys have been on inMelbourne since they opened their doors and the opportunity to jointhem was one I couldn’t pass up,” said Rose. “We know it won’t be easy butultimately Digby and I want AJF Sydney to be a pretty special place.”

He’s been awarded multiple times at Cannes, D&AD, Clio, Spikes, London Internationals and this year his work on McDonald¹s scored four Effies.

AJF will be located in Surry Hills and its foundation clients will be announced in the new year.

The Melbourne shop is an independent full service agency with billings of $85m. In five years, AJF Partnership has grown from three to 55 staff, and handles clients including National Foods, GM Holden, City of Melbourne, Bakers Delight, Herald & Weekly Times, University of Melbourne, iSelect, Sunsense, and the Australian Grand Prix Corporation.
