11 Australian and 4 New Zealand entries make the cut at shortlist stage of the Cannes Press Lions

Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney and Droga5 Sydney have three finalists each at the shortlist stage of the Cannes Press Lions. Australia only managed 11 on the shortlist in total with George Patterson Y&R Sydney and BWM Sydney both with two apiece and one finalist to Publicis Mojo Sydney.
Saatchi’s scored for Sony, while Droga5’s finalists were for CUB.
For New Zealand only Colenso BBDO Auckland has made it through. They have four on the shortlist for their DB Beer campaign.

There’s 2 for Patts in Copywriting and 1 for mojo in Art Direction as well…
Leo’s entered 55 (!) print ads and not even a short list. Ouch.
Oh God I’d love to see the entry V reward tables at the end of the festival.
It would make for some interesting comparisons and awkward hallway glances between finance director and creative directors. Especially the agencies that have been on pay rise freezes and had major retrenchments over the last couple of years…
They had almost 300 entries all up. Think about that.
